In November 2015, Lichtefeld, Inc. completed this state of the art 14,160 s.f. office and maintenance garage for Tony’s Wrecker Service. William H. (Tony) Voelker started in the towing industry in 1937. He established Tony’s Wrecker Service in 1956, in St. Matthews. Tony’s Wrecker Service has been serving Eastern Jefferson County since that time; under continuous ownership. At the death of Mr. Voelker the business was passed to his grandson and is now in it’s 5th generation of operation. Currently located in Eastern Jefferson County on Westport Road just off the Gene Snyder Freeway.
Tony’s Wrecker Service has over 70 years of Towing and Recovery Engineering. They have the expertise to handle your vehicle or commodity large or small. Our employees are Nationally Certified Wrecker Operators, with many years of experience.
Tony’s Wrecker Service main coverage area extends to Kentucky and surrounding states with the ability to go outside the area. They also have capabilities to repair your truck or trailer in the areas of suspension, differentials, transmissions, engines, electrical, brakes, and emergency unscheduled repairs or a PM program.
